How Much Do You Know About Cache, OK?

Cache Alumni Trivia

How much did you know when you were a Cache High School student? What REALLY went on inside the school and around town? Here's your chance to find out!

Cache Trivia: Who owned the Ice Dock in 1962?
This was literally the coolest place in town! It was also the only place that sold bags of crushed ice (like you get a Sonic nowadays). Mrs. Volkins loved this place. Who owned it? Louie Webber!

Cache Trivia: What did Morris Hadley own?
The entire shop had a distinct smell. Only a certain type of person would come into this shop and most of these people were "colleagues" of Morris. Sometimes, it took a parade to own some of the things that he sold. Morris Hadley owned the "Western Tack and Supply."

Cache Trivia: Who is the Indian Chief featured in the play "Texas?"
He was the last of the great Indian Chiefs. In his children's lineage, there is white blood and Indian blood. Eagle Park is a central meeting place for his descendents reunions and Herbert Woesner is an "honorary Comanche" for the day. This great Comanche Indian Chief is Quanah Parker.

Cache Trivia: According to Cache legend, who roamed the woods at night with the Nunipees?
There have been many sightings, but no person can actually recall a conversation. The rustling trees and the sound of breaking branches underfoot can alleviate a person's memory of this encounter. Some people have seen shadows through their windows and driving through the Cache countryside at night may bring an unwanted scare. Beware! Nature Man is out there!

Cache Trivia: What was Ray Darby's real name?
At the age of 16, Ray had a screen test in Hollywood. His career did not develop into an acting role. He and his family were musicians. They toured all over the world and recorded many albums. However, a stage presence must have a stage name. "Darby" was used before he graduated from Cache High School. He went by Ray Darby, but his name at birth was Raymond Doiybi.

Cache Trivia: What Cache graduate shares his name with a famous pop singer?
Both men have brown hair. The popular singer has recorded many albums and he is still singing and touring today. The Cache graduate has since become a Captain in the Navy. (For all you non-military personnel, that is equal to the rank of Colonal in the Army...) The Cache graduate's mom was a Cache grade school teacher. The popular singer's mom, if we knew her, would probably say that she is very proud of her son. The Cache graduate that we are very proud of is Captain James Taylor. (Not to be confused with the guy who sang a remake of "Up On A Roof......")
